The VIP1840 is a Door Channel Magnet that is used with recessed contacts in sliding or steel doors with a channel on top. Compress the magnet case to 1? by squeezing sides and push down just below the top of the channel. When released the magnet case will expand and hold in place. Gap may vary depending on magnetic contact but should be 1/2? minimum.
