By embedding Mercury Firmware in NXT Controllers a whole new set of features become available for applications with more sophisticated and customized requirements. This broadens the scope of NXT hardware capability such that it makes it a good choice for high-end and Enterprise applications as well as mid-sized projects that demand high end features.

The unique architecture allows Keri to offer the system hardware at a lower cost compared to other manufacturers. It also contains many features that simplify and significantly reduce the cost of installation. The system is managed by Keri’s doors.NET software.

The Keri Systems NXT-2D-MSC has Mercury Firmware with 2 Doors/4 Readers. The NXT-2D Controller is designed for IT. Using a TCP/IP network eliminates controller cabling expenditures. Using affordable CAT-5 cable may lower network costs by up to 50% compared to standard hard-wired systems. The NXT-2D is incredibly clever and relies little on network traffic for decision making, saving important network capacity. Keri’s patented MAC addressing method provides reliable device detection and one-button autoconfiguration. Up to two 4X4 Input/Output boards (NXT-4X4) may be attached to the controller’s RS-485 trunks to increase system versatility (buses). The SB-593 Satellite Expansion Board plugs into the PXL-500 to provide additional functionality at a cost far less than that of adding another controller. The SB-593 gives each PXL-500 an additional 8 general purpose inputs and 4 general purpose outputs. Two of the inputs and outputs can be configured to manage a second door, making the PXL-500 a cost effective two door controller while still providing an additional 6 inputs and 2 outputs.
