Smallest NXT Series Reader – Measuring just 3.75 inches high by 1.60 inches wide by .625 inches deep (9.5 cm high x 4.1 cm wide x 1.6 cm deep), the NXT-3R is one of the smallest proximity readers on the market. It is designed to mount directly on metal or a wall with out mounting brackets or spacers.

NXT Readers can be ordered as “Entrance” or “Exit” readers when used with NXT Controllers (Mercury-Powered versions), which doubles the controller’s reader capacity. For “Exit” readers, specify model numbers with an E at end of model number (i.e., NXT-3RE). They can now be configured to read certain HID 125 KHz cards and tags such as the HID ® Prox II Credentials, thus providing all of the benefits listed above and eliminating the need for an NXT-WI or NXT-RM3 Reader Interface Board.

The X100 Two Reader Expansion Module adds support for two additional readers with four relay outputs and four programmable inputs to an alarm.com X1100 Door Controller. For larger commercial installations, up to 31 X100 expansion modules can be connected together to manage up to 64 doors using a single X1100 Door Controller.

Keri’s MS Series Proximity Readers are designed to blend aesthetics, read range performance, and small package size with an extremely thin profile into a product that is priced significantly less than competing proximity readers. The readers are for use exclusively with Keri’s access control system based on the PXL-500 Tiger Controller and can be used with the NXT-2D/-4D and MSC-2D/4D Controllers when using a Interface Module, to save cost and continue the use existing credentials when upgrading to the newer NXT controllers.

Medium Sized, NXT Reader – The NXT-5R measures 4.18 inches high by 2.95 inches wide by .625 inches deep (10.6 cm high x 7.5 cm wide x 1.6 cm deep) and can be mounted on a US single gang electrical box or flat on a wall. Read range is up to 6” (15cm) when mounted at least one inch off metal. If the reader is mounted using a metal electrical junction box with the thickness of the wall material separating the reader from the box, read range will be reduced.

The Mircom KT-MIR-0-0 is a 26-bit Wiegand key tag compatible with Mircom/AWID 125 KHz key fob/access card readers. These key fobs are very durable and small enough to fit on any keyring. These fobs are generally used on Mircom’s TX3 series controllers. The sealed environment 212SE style keypad features a brushed metal housing that has been treated to resist corrosion and an all metal Braille, alpha-numeric keypad. There is an internal sounder that is used to indicate key press feedback, and a bi-color LED to indicate operation. The housing has been designed to mount directly on a standard single-gang electrical box, or to most flat surfaces.

The SK-1323-SDQ from Seco-Larm is an indoor and outdoor stand-alone keypad designed to control access of a single entry point for facilities with up to 1010 users. Each user is assigned a personal identification number (PIN), which releases an electric door lock or triggers a gate operation. All features are programmed directly from the keypad. There is no need for an external programmer. Each relay has a programmable output time from 1-99 seconds or toggle. Additional features includes a rugged aluminum construction, backlit keys for easy night time use and IP66 weatherproof rating for the harshest conditions.

The Paxton10 Slimline Reader combines multi-format technology with compact design (48mm width mullion mount) to perfectly complement the Paxton10 system.
The slimline reader is equipped with multi-format reading technology designed to simultaneously read the most common types of cards and tokens, including Paxton, EM, MIFARE® DESFIRE® CSN, HID® Prox 125kHz, FeliCa and NFC.
Installation – The reader wires are color coded and can be connected color for color to a Paxton10 Door or Video controller. Avoid mounting near other proximity readers as this may affect the read range. The cable exits centrally from the back of the reader making drilling and mounting very accurate.
The reader is supplied with 5 meters of cable and can be extended using Belden 8723 cable.
Operation – A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read the control unit looks up the access permissions of that user. Access is then granted or denied as appropriate.
